The handheld Katadyn Steripen Classic 3 UV water purifier uses ultraviolet light to make your drinking water safer, wherever you are. SteriPEN's germicidal ultraviolet light destroys over 99.9% of waterborne viruses, bacteria and protozoa (giardia) in water.
Suitable for hikes, travel, or any situation when pure, drinkable water is not available, this water treatment device uses no harsh chemicals, and won't change the taste or color of the water, or add an unpleasant smell. Simply press the on button, place the lamp in your water bottle and stir. The lamp automatically shuts off when the treatment is finished.

Easy To Operate
Device activates when the lamp is placed in water, simply insert and stir until the light shuts off.
If clear water is not available, no worries—the included prefilter clears particulates and debris from water
To use the prefilter, remove filter cartridge, insert the Steripen Classic 3 into the prefilter's center, turn bottle upside down and gently rock back and forth to agitate
Prefilter fits Nalgene® and most other water bottles with 63 mm wide-mouth openings; pour source water through filter, and clean water enters bottle
Drinkable Water In Seconds
Purifies 16 fl. oz. (0.5L) of water (cold or warm) in 48 seconds or 32 fl. oz. (1L) in 90 seconds.
With 1 set of AA lithium batteries, the Classic 3 purifies up to 39 gallons of water; with 1 set of 2,300mAh regular AA batteries, the Classic 3 can purify up to 26 gallons of water
Alkaline batteries are not recommended for repeated use
